John Jackson Miller’s Knight Errant Coming Soon

Dark Horse announced yesterday that SMT Honorary Member and friend John Jackson Miller will be pulling double-duty in writing a new ongoing comics series and a novel called Knight Errant.  The press release states that the comic and novel will be set 1,000 years prior to Episode I and will follow the exploits of a young female Jedi named Kerra Holt.

JJM posted to his blog that the comic is scheduled for release later this year, with the novel to follow in 2011.

JJM will be in Memphis for MidSouthCon 28 on March 12-14.  Be sure to check out his panel at MSC for more information on his new project.

Purge: Seconds to Die's Jim Hall Book Signing

Purge 2: Seconds to Die Solicitation Cover

Memphian Jim Hall, the artist on the upcoming Purge: Seconds to Die, will be at Comics and Collectibles for a signing on Saturday, November 14 from 12-3pm. Members of the SMT will be attending.

Purge: Seconds to Die is written by SMT Honorary Member (and all-around great guy) John Ostrander and will hit shelves on November 11.

It's Good to Be Bad

It’s Good to Be Bad: Monster Portraits of Villainy by Lin Workman

Something wicked this way draws …

Monsters, villains, and folks who are good at being bad will be represented in this art show of black and white airbrushed portraits by artist and FanForce member Lin Workman tonight at the Adam B. Shaw Studio from 6-10pm.

The event is free and open to the public. Costumed attire is encouraged.  The studio is located at 2547 Broad Ave, Memphis.

Lin, as well as other members of the SMT, will be in attendance.  We hope to see you there!

Knights of the Old Republic to end with Issue #50

Dark Horse announced at Diamond’s Retailer Summit in Baltimore that the current Knights of the Old Republic series, written by SMT Honorary Member John Jackson Miller, will end with Issue #50.

John discusses the decision on his blog, stating that he was able to end the story the way he wanted.
