<p>Our friend, <a href="http://www.farawaypress.com/" target="_blank">John Jackson Miller</a>, will once again be a guest. You can usually find John at the SMT fan table when he isn&#8217;t in a panel. You can find his con schedule <a href="http://blog.farawaypress.com/2013/03/my-midsouthcon-2013-panel-schedule.html">here</a>.  His next Star Wars novel, Kenobi, will be released later this year.</p>

<p>The Library is looking for costumers to help escort Dan in and do some photo ops with him, so costuming is encouraged! Help us make Dan&#8217;s visit to the area a memorable one! Let us know if you can make it in costume. There will be space to change and time with Dan to talk Star Wars!</p>

Katie has  received an outpouring of support on the internet, including LFL, Ashley  Eckstein and others. <p>A Facebook event called <a href="http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/event.php?eid=113784095353278" target="_blank">&#8220;Wear Star Wars &#8211; Share Star Wars&#8221; </a>was  originally created to show support for Katie and to let her know that  Star Wars is for girls, too.  Her mom has asked that it be rebranded and  that everyone who wears Star Wars apparel on December 10 also donate a  Star Wars/sci-fi toy to a local hospital or shelter.  She also asks that  you specify that your gift should be given to a boy OR a girl, not just  a boy.</p>

Take exit 15 for Madison Pike toward Sparkman Dr/Bob  Wallace Ave. Keep right at the fork, follow signs for Space and Rocket Center.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Dark Horse announced yesterday that SMT Honorary Member and friend John Jackson Miller will be pulling double-duty in writing a new ongoing comics series and a novel called <em>Knight Errant</em>.  The <a href="http://www.darkhorse.com/Press-Releases/1824/Dark-Horse-Announces-All-New-Star-Wars-Series-Knight-Errant-02-10-10" target="_blank">press release</a> states that the comic and novel will be set 1,000 years prior to Episode I and will follow the exploits of a young female Jedi named Kerra Holt.</p>
<p>JJM posted to his <a href="http://blog.farawaypress.com/2010/02/double-duty-john-jackson-miller-pens.html" target="_blank">blog</a> that the comic is scheduled for release later this year, with the novel to follow in 2011.</p>
